Board of Directors
Windows Board of Directors is made up of members from the populations with whom we work- Jewish Israelis, Palestinian Israelis and Palestinians from the Occupied Palestinian Territories (OPT).
Abeer Hadad- Chair Person (Palestinian Israeli, Nazareth/Jaffa) holds both a B.A. and a M.A. in theater from the Hebrew University and Tel Aviv University, respectively. Since 1990, Abeer has taught theater at Beit Berl College, and has been involved in a variety of other theatrical and educational programs for youth. Abeer has been familiar with Windows’ activities for many years, and most recently reconnected with the organization in 2006 when her daughter joined one of our young journalist groups.
Rawand Mussalam (Palestinian OPT, Birzeit/Ramallah) is the principal of the Birzeit Latinate School, in Birzeit- right outside Ramallah. Starting in 2007, Rawand’s school hosted Windows’ Through the School Window program, where she herself served as a facilitator. She then joined the board of directors in 2008 to continue an active role in the organization.
Raed Sadeq (Palestinian OPT, Ramallah)- Raed is active in a variety of civic and cultural organizations including: serving on the boards of Windows:Channels for Communication, the Democracy and Worker’s Rights Center, the Palestine Circus School. He is also a member of the General Assembly of the Independent Trade Unions. In the past five years, Raed has been a guest speaker on union issues in South Africa, Spain, Ireland and Germany. He provides training in advocacy for people with disabilities and trade unions, as well as, conflict transformation and workplace success. Raed is currently the Operations manager for CHF International, working to develop marginalized Palestinian communities.
