Humanitarian Aid

Humanitarian Aid

The shortage of food and other material goods in the Occupied Palestinian Territories grows constantly due to the ongoing occupation. To help the Palestinian population living under these conditions, we collect food, clothing, toys, household items, and other goods at the Tel Aviv Friendship Center where our volunteers sort, pack, and ship donations, mostly to communities with which we have established relationships. Our activists distribute the items according to need. Besides attempting to reduce — even if only slightly — the physical hardship of the population, we send these packages with a message of solidarity from those in Israel moved by the suffering of the Palestinian population in the territories. The trust this helps build between our organization and the Palestinian communities in the territories draws support and encouragement for our youth work and facilitates sustained involvement among participants.

Also recognizing the needs of people more locally, we distribute aid packages to people in need within Israel, including homeless shelters, at-risk youth and African refugee communities.

Update: Currently, we are re-designing our humanitarian aid program to incorporate Charity Shops providing more empowerment for local communities- and thus we are not able to receive new donations at the moment. Please contact us if you are interested to learn more about this project.
